Minimize the Effects of Stress on Your Health with these 11 Habits…
It’s confirmed, the effects of stress on your health can be significant and I have given you a handful of steps you can take to counteract Internal, External and Emotional stress…
At this point, if you have taken even a few of these steps you are on your way to a much healthier life. The final point of impact for stress and the effects of stress on your health are your habits…
This is simple and straightforward and the most in our control and YET this is where we stumble the most.
The fact of the matter is, most people aren’t going to live a perfect life, but if you can put a few habits into place, you’ll be much healthier than you are now!
A quick note about the word Habit…
Typically the word habit gets a bad rap. It is normally associated with ‘BAD’ and so we are told to ‘Kick the habit’ etc.
This is a myth…
We can’t get rid of bad habits BUT we can REPLACE them with GOOD HABITS.
I know it seems basic, but if you can look at it as a replacement of one habit with another you stand a much higher chance of success!
We all know that the effects of stress on your health are much more intense if you smoke, eat lots of processed foods, don’t sleep enough, don’t work out, don’t drink enough etc. etc. etc.
So, it’s time to make a choice to develop some good (or at least better) habits…
With most ‘not as good for you’ habits, I suggest a gradual lifestyle shift as a way to permanent change…the big exception is Smoking as you’ll see in the following list:
To reduce stress and it’s effects on your health start making these 11 habit changes now:
- DON’T SMOKE!
- Limit alcohol to 1 drink a day
